Spencer Gifts LLC, doing business as Spencer's, is a North American mall retailer with over 600 stores in the United States and Canada. Their stores specialize in novelty and gag gifts, and also sell clothing, band merchandise, sex toys, room decor, collectible figures, fashion and body jewelry, fantasy and horror items. The company also owns and operates a pop-up seasonal retailer, Spirit Halloween.

Store Manager (Former Employee) says"Please don’t ever work for a Spencer’s in Maryland, they are corporately racist to the highest levels. They hire/fire for no reason at all and you will sign up under those terms and conditions, read! Assistant managers don’t get paid for the work they do and store managers do not care about associates. I was formerly a store manager and they TRAINED me not to care about staff or customers. It’s bad."

They only give 6 holidays and even then they have your work some of them and your not given any compensation. The place is a joke.No dress code, your can wear your pajamas. they dont carecompensation and hours of work"

Sales Supervisor (Former Employee) says"I’ve worked there for 4 years, giving my all. Never received any recognition for all the hard work put in, just a pat on the back. I was overlooked 3 times in place for moving up. They decided to bring people with absolutely no experience to take a management position instead of hiring someone who already knew the store. The last manager was very pushy and intimidated by employees which resulted in wrongful termination. Then later talked about the incident over the entire mall, talk about embarrassment. I thought this was the coolest place to work but it’s far from it. They have no love for their loyal employees.Absolutely nothing!Short breaks. No benefits. Low pay. No room for advancement. DO NOT promote within."
